A Formal Investigation
March 08, 2025
Dear friends:
Since the release of the Pastoral Recommendations Team (PRT) Report, we have received some excellent questions and feedback concerning its content. We believe that the issues are weighty enough to request the PRT to make some clarifications. They will have the freedom and authority to edit and clarify as they see fit.
In the meantime, we have decided to remove the PRT report from this forum.
We plan to post the updated report once we receive it from the PRT.
Again, we want to thank the PRT members for their sacrificial effort that they have put into this report.
Thank you for your patience and prayers.

Final Statement from Tikkun Coordinating Team for IHOPKC Investigation

The evaluation report from the Pastoral Recommendation Team has been finished and made available to the public. We are very thankful to the team of highly qualified pastors and psychologists who worked so sacrificially on this report. They did their work independent of any input from our team.
With the publication of the PRT recommendations, we have completed our work as the Tikkun Coordinating Team for the IHOPKC investigation. We remind you that this process had three major stages, each with its own challenges and bumps along the way:
-
Listening – to all sides, particularly to the advocate group of victims presenting allegations; setting an atmosphere of trust and honesty as best as possible.
-
Investigation – hiring a third-party, professional investigator, with experience in clergy sexual abuse; and publishing the fact-finding report unredacted, without any influence or even access from our team. We so appreciate the courage of the many who gave testimonies and empathize with the deep disappointment of those who did but were not included in the final report.
-
Recommendation – gathering a team of experienced psychologists and pastors, men and women, with experience in handling sexual misconduct allegations and church discipline; and publishing their non-binding recommendations.
We continue in love and prayer for the whole IHOPKC community, in hope that all the time, effort, and finances that went into this investigation will bear fruit for Yeshua's kingdom.
As implied by the name of this team, we saw ourselves serving in a coordination role: we have tried not to be the counselors/advocates for the victims; nor the investigators, nor doing any of the work of the PRT. Having completed the facilitation of these tasks, our ad-hoc Tikkun Coordination Team is now disbanded. Our purpose was to address the issues at hand and to set up a framework for dealing with complicated situations of this type and scope.
In many ways, the real work is just beginning, but that is beyond the assignment of our team. The ongoing work of reproof, repentance, rebuilding, restoring, renewing, reviving, and restructuring is now in the hands of the IHOPKC community. It is our prayer that men and women of faith and goodwill will be able to navigate through the next stages, according to the Scriptures and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
As previously stated, the family of ministries and congregations aligned with Tikkun Global is made up of many groups and individuals, with differing viewpoints on many subjects, including aspects of this investigation. No one individual’s views represent Tikkun Global as a whole, unless otherwise indicated by those signing any given statement.
Our ministry team at Tikkun Global in Jerusalem and many related congregations have had advocacy policies and procedures in place for dealing with sexual misconduct allegations – from well before the IHOPKC investigation arose. Yet, we have learned a great deal walking through this process, and we continually seek to improve how we deal with these or any other type of sin among spiritual leaders.
We believe that God is doing a work of cleansing and purifying the Bride of Christ in our generation. This process has been extremely painful, embarrassing, frustrating and rewarding — all at the same time. Our hope is that God will bring a greater period of holiness, healing, and glory in the wake of these trials.
In Yeshua's love,
Asher Intrater, Dan Juster, Ron Cantor, Melva Phelps, Richard Cleary
