The idea of racial equality is a biblical concept. If we are true Bible believers, we have to both believe-in and stand-up-for ethnic equality. It is a revelation from God that is foundational to our Judeo-Christian worldview.
Standing in front of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington DC, Asher reminds us of the gospel message of equality and freedom that Dr. King proclaimed, notes that is firmly rooted in God’s Word and challenges us to understand its importance.
When Peter shared in Acts 10:34-35 the revelation that all men are equal in the eyes of God, this was not universally understood. It was a turning point. Dr. King understood the power of this revelation, proclaimed it publically and helped change the course of history.
In the same way, the truth of the equality of the sexes before God is also based on Scripture. In Acts 2 the Spirit of God was poured out on both men and women equally, God showing no partiality.
Love and equality between Jew and Gentile, men and women, black and white, is central to the message of the Bible. There is no place for religious pride or racial prejudice in our Judeo-Christian values.
We must beware of the danger of embracing the extremist views on either side. We want to proclaim the truth. WATCH today.
