WATCH Asher open up yesterday’s text from I Samuel 30 as a prophetic parable relating to the current hostage crisis and the war in Gaza.
David came to a crisis of epic proportions: facing the Philistines, the Amalekites, and the anger of his own people. He came to the end of his physical and emotional strength. David cried until he couldn’t cry any more. His weakness brought him to the place of utter dependence on God. He strengthened himself in the Lord, and this faith led him to total victory:
The war was won;
The hostages were returned;
His family was restored;
The kingdom was advanced;
Justice and grace prevailed.
This teaching will help you walk in your own victory and ENCOURAGE you even in a time of loss and despair.
