Fields of Wheat is a locally based, multi-generational ministry team dedicated to serving the body of Messiah in Israel by training and equipping teens and young adults from both Jewish and Arab backgrounds. They are committed to discipleship in the context of community – sharing life, learning to work the land, and above all, pursuing the presence of God together as one. They are helping to prepare the next generation to be laborers for Yeshua's harvest through youth camps, retreats, conferences, and equipping initiatives.
Matthew 9:37-38 — Then He (Yeshua) said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Many Messianic believers are serving on the front lines of Israel’s war to end Hamas’s reign of terror and to counter the threat of Hizbollah on our northern border. We know them because they came through our youth camps as teens, counselors, and leaders. So, soon after October 7, our team began working tirelessly to provide much-needed practical equipment and winter gear to believing IDF soldiers in the battlefield.
Once they began their efforts to help, requests started coming in from all over the country to help provide these basic winter supplies for many other soldiers as well. They put together packets of clothing (costing about $200 US dollars each) and have been travelling up and down the country to over 50 locations, from the northern border with Lebanon to Eilat in the south, to deliver these goods. Seeing the soldiers get what they need is worth all the effort to get it to them.
The current need is for Items such as quality boots, gloves, long johns, and winter coats. With continuing support, they expect to reach many more soldiers and testify to two keys to the reality of God. First, His provision through Christian lovers of Israel around the world. And second, of Jewish and Arab followers of Yeshua working together in unity to build His kingdom.
